Our Story
Our dog, the late Coconut, was a runner. She could slip out of a leash or harness and take off in a blink of an eye. She would usually come back but sometimes it took a neighbor catching her and calling me. We lived in a small community where everyone knew each other’s pets. I always thought, “what if we didn’t”. We now live in an area where if our pet ran off and slipped her collar, no one would know who she belonged to. I’ve caught a few wandering pets and would go around the neighborhood trying to find their home. I thought there must be a better way to reunite pets with their families as quickly as possible.
I’m sure you all have seen Facebook posts for missing pets. Maybe someone found a pet and they aren’t sure who that pet belongs to and would like to help that pet find a way home. Maybe you’ve seen a poster in your neighborhood, and it breaks your heart to know that someone is missing a beloved family member. Perhaps you are on a neighborhood share like nextdoor.com and have seen wandering pets that need to find their way back home. Maybe you’ve microchipped your pet and have a service included with that fee. Then there are the local pages from shelters etc. So many ways with so many requirements.
My goal, with wanderingpets.com is to consolidate all these disparate methods for returning pets to their loving families. Some people aren’t on Facebook, neighborhood sites, microchipped pay for use, etc. The question I posed to myself was, how can we correct this and be inclusive to all pets. Maybe someone has a goat, ferret, turtle, or some other beloved pet, where do they turn?
My solution is Wanderingpets.com. Send out a blast on all platforms within a few seconds of realizing your pet has gone missing. Email, text message, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, print a flyer. It’s free for the first two pets. No microchip or other requirement needed.
Register your pets before they go missing and with a few clicks, you can send out a blast to all these platforms. Don’t wait until they go missing and you’re in a panic. Register now and if the unfortunate happens, it will take you a few clicks/seconds to blast everyone around you that is signed up.
Also, help other people find their pets if you happen to see them wandering.
As part of the alert system, you will be notified as soon as the pet has been returned home. You can even read re-unite stories.
All pets are welcome! We are an all-inclusive group.
Take care,

Meet Our Founder:
Kay Anne Kincaid
Kay Anne Kincaid began her career in the corporate world, but when looking to what truly inspired her it was working with missing animals and pets and their owners. She is motivated by wanting to help those who are experiencing the trauma of separation from a beloved family member and missing pet, as well as a love for her own pet. In addition, Ms. Kincaid recognized that the current market was geared predominantly towards cats and dogs and wanted to expand that to include ALL types of animals. Kincaid aims to reunite animals with their families as quickly as possible.
Statistics show that the longer the pet is missing, the more likely it becomes that something bad could happen to them. She continues to be motivated by wanting to help all types of pets and their families who are experiencing this stressful situation. Kay Anne lives in Coastal Florida with her family and pets, Coconut and Nonnie.

A Mission in honor of Coconut
The mission of WanderingPets is to reunite all kinds of pets with their owners as quickly as possible. The longer that a pet is missing, the greater the risk for something traumatic to happen to them.
WanderingPets uses a unique platform to track missing animals, without having to wait for a microchip to be processed. This system also benefits pets who may have been misplaced during a natural disaster, as the platform is able to work across many states giving a centralized location for these missing pets.
WanderingPets aims to reunite pets with their families as quickly and efficiently as possible.
